Description

Crispy, oven-baked Russet wedges get elevated with savory cheddar and smoky turkey turkey bacon. Our simple method ensures perfect texture every time! Full instructions & nutrition details available.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large Russet potatoes, scrubbed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 strips turkey beef bacon
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Cut each potato lengthwise into 6-8 wedges.
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated. Arrange the seasoned wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they don't overlap too much.
  3. Step 3: Bake the potato wedges for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are tender and golden brown. While the wedges are baking, cook the turkey turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Crumble the cooked turkey turkey bacon into small pieces and set aside.
  4. Step 4: Once the wedges are cooked, remove the baking sheet from the oven. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the potato wedges, then scatter the crumbled turkey beef bacon on top of the cheese.
  5. Step 5: Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly. Serve immediately as a side dish or appetizer.

Notes

  • To keep any yummy leftovers fresh, pop them into an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days, though they're definitely best enjoyed soon after baking!
  • For the best crunch, reheat any remaining wedges in your oven or air fryer at 350°F (175°C) until warm and the cheese is bubbly again, avoiding the microwave for crispness.
  • Elevate your experience by serving these loaded wedges with a side of cooling sour cream, zesty ranch, or even a dash of spicy sriracha mayo for an extra layer of flavor.
  • For truly golden and crisp wedges, resist the urge to overcrowd your baking sheet; giving each wedge a little space allows them to roast rather than steam.
